Contract Estimation

Hi Mike,

My qualification is Electrical / Electronic Engineering.......although my experience is mainly "Electronic". After 29 Years in this enviroment I am now thinking of changing to an "Electrical" environment and am just scanning everything to get a broad view of what is involved.

I am in the UK and found your site while looking for information regarding "Estimating" via the link below..........

EC&M Estimation Software Page Link

Quote From EC&M Site
A good estimating system should help you quickly and accurately determine the cost of a job, and includes all anticipated costs, said Mike Holt. The system must be efficient, accurate and attempt to prevent common mistakes. It should have a method to verify that the estimate is accurate. (See www.mikeholt.com for more estimating tips.)

My Question
Can you post a link to where the "Estimating Tips" can be found on your site as I cannot locate them?

Comment
I have enjoyed reading through some of the information on your site.

Although I am in the UK some basics can't be different but can always be better explained. I found some good explanations here.
(If you disagree with this comment please post your reasons why).
Thanks

Re: Contract Estimation

Hi Roger,
Thanks for the links.

There's plenty of information for me among them for me to look at.

I thought the EC&M site was refering to a specific page of "Estimating Tips"....of interest.....rather than a full educational package.

The books look interesting but a bit expensive for my involvement at the moment.

Cheers
Dermot
