Is a C-46 Solar Contractor test like the C-10 based on the NEC and such?

The CA C-46 test includes questions on CA Electrical Code (basically NEC), industry standards, theory, calculations, tools & test equipment, troubleshooting, safety, estimating, etc. The test also has a lot of questions on thermal solar systems such as pool and water heating systems, products, theory, estimating, troubleshooting, hydraulics, plumbing, etc.
