Maybe I’m missing something as I’m not as day to day experienced as most on here..
Aren’t all Class 1 cables required to meet insulation requirements for 600V?

I think the rule is that class 1 circuits have to be under 600 volts, but I don't recall that class 1 conductors have to have 600 volt insulation.

I forgot to add the picture when I made the original post and ran out the door.
I got to looking at this on another thread regarding this wiring on a Generac. This is straight out of the Generac instruction manual.
This section out of the instruction manual and the article posted above are sort of the reason for my confusion and the reason I’m wondering if I am missing something

Meeting the NEC requirement of 600V min also satisfies the Generac instructions. No problem!

600 V. If you want to understand the contradiction in the instructions then I would contact the manufacturer.
600V is what my understanding is also and was when I read that statement.
I really don’t care enough to fix the manufacturers instructions.
