Control Low voltage tranformer grounding/bonding

Im seen it both done and not done. So Im curious do most of you 'ground' the secondary of the low voltage transformer, (low meaning 24 volts or 120 volts) . Example being a 120 primary 24 volt secondary.

In some MCC s and contactors I see alot of the 480 primary and 120 secondary control transformers, and some of them are grounded/bonded on the secondary and some of them are not. Normally when its grounded/bonded on the secondary its the X2. I havent checked the code completely on the 24 volt issue, but it seems to be good practice to ground the secondaries. What do you do, and What do you think??

Brother,

If it is a 480-120v transformer I ground them from X2 to enclosure. If it is 250v or less to

24vac transformer I won't.
