Control Panels on Wheels

I'm currently a machine builder at an international company that has little to no experience building machines. We just acquired some movable carts on caster wheels with control panels mounted to them. Most of which are fed by 240v. The master electricain here doesn't seem concerned about it and I have searched the web and cannot find any code regarding such a scenario so I will ask the forum. Are electrical control panels that are mounted on mobile carts legal?

To that point, EVERY mobile machine that contains electrical equipment will have a control panel, which by definition is itself mobile. Wheels are simply a detail of convenience.

Bottom line, it's done all the time.
