Control wiring with motor wiring in same raceway.

Can anyone tell me if it is allowed in the code to run control wiring and the wiring for a motor in the same conduit?

I looked all over article 430 and do not see it.

We need to know if it is Class I, Class II or Class III. Take a look at 725.41. If your control circuit isn't supplied by one of these methods, it will be Class I. If it is Class I, it may be in the same raceway, in accordance with 725.26. Otherwise, 725.55 applies.

Ryan,

I am working on passing my Masters test and I had a question that was along this line. I got stuck on it and want to be ready for it if it crops up next time. I did a google search and focused it on Mike's site right before your post and found a answer very much like yours in an old newsletter. I watched Mike's video that covered 725 earlier this summer and have lots of notes on it in my code book. I think that is why this one is throwing me so much. I remembered reading about it, just couldn't find it!!!
I really think they were after what it says in 725.3(F). I will go look at your references as well. Thanks for the help.
I am an Electrical Trades Instructor from Missouri. I do my job well and my kids get good jobs, I had 3 kids take 1st place in state last year and another place 17th at nationals, but this Master Electrician test is kicking my butt. I spent my summer watching Mike's tapes and reading the books, my code book looks like a coloring book by now. In any case I thank you for the help. I want to get past this test and move on!
