Article 620 - Control Space. If a controller for a machine roomless elevator is installed in a hoistway, does the circuit breaker in the source electrical panel in a separate room, not associated with any other elevator equipment, qualify as a control space?
I'm getting told by the inspector that a disconnect switch and circuit breaker is the same as a controller, but I would disagree. Any definitions which could change my mind?
