I'd like to put the convenience outlet for an above-ground pool on the same circuit as the motor. I don't see anything in Article 680 preventing this. What factors should I consider from Article 430?

680.22(A)(3) requires a receptacle on a general-purpose branch circuit.
This is not the receptacle for pool equipment or pumps this is a general use receptacle.
This would not allow the general use receptacle on a equipment branch circuit.
I must agree with Electricmanscott.

Safari is quoting the 2008 NEC. The 2005 NEC does not have the words ""general-purpose branch circuit." I don't see anything in 680.21 that requires a dedicated circuit. I'm not sure how Article 430 applies to this situation.

I disagree with Pierre. 680.22(A)(3) doesn't apply to the pool pump.

After all this, I think I am going to put the convenience receptacle on a different circuit. The 2008 NEC requires it, so I might as well do it now. (I think NJ is still following the 2008 NEC)
