So I’m working on a motor fan for a evaporator. I want to rewire a 12 lead 230v to a 480v. Can anyone help me on this I’ve connected 480v fan motors but not with 12 lead. Never seen it

How is it wired now? Write down all of the connections and then you can find the higher voltage wiring designation for Wye or Delta.

In a nutshell, each phase has two coils that are not connected in parallel, and need to be connected in series.

If it’s a “normal” motor, it’s wye start/delta run at the nameplate voltages.
What is a normal motor? Aren't 12 lead motors also designed for across the line starting not only Wye start Delta run?

Yes - but the only reason to bring all 12 leads out is to facilitate Y-D starting. Otherwise, only nine leads need to be brought out for dual voltage ATL.
