Brand new to these forums. I just bought an older building that used to be a paint and body shop. It has a 220 volt receptacle that I would like to split into two 110 volt lines for receptacles in other parts of the building. I have no 220 volt appliances or tools to use. How may I safely get two 110 volt receptacles out of this 220 volt receptacle? Will a separate earth ground be required for one of the 110 volt lines? Thanks for any help and/or advice.
