Rotary Club has adopted a Boys Home in Jamaica. Want to send the a washer and dryer since one woman is washing clothes for 40+ boys and staff, and hanging out to dry. Jamaica's power is 230v/50cycle. Is there an answer?

I think most of the components of the washer and dryer would work okay at 50hz, except for possibly the clock (timer). I would contact the manufacturer to get information about this issue.

The clock would likely run a bit slower, but that should not cause any promlems. The motor might run a bit warmer unless its rated to accept 50 cycles.Think i would contact mfg before the purchase and shipping.

Is this 115/230 or only 230? That would smoke about everything in a 120V washer.
