converting a building to a school

The building in question is wired with tubing and bx.At this point the wiring is in good shape, The fact that it will be used for some sort of school is it considered a place of assembly and will the bx have to replaced with MC cable. Thank you Al Gilmore

This building is wired with bx and tubing, all in good condition. Two things come to mind: 1- is a school considered a place of assembly? 2-Would the bx wiring have to replaced with MC cable?

Re: converting a building to a school

518.2 lists auditoriums within a school as a place of assembly, but not the entire school.
