thats what im saying. what would you do if somehow the lamp holder broke on a 12 v mr16 and you replaced it with a 120v socket and didnt use the transformer so you get 120?Dennis Alwon said:I am not sure about the listing but they make an mr16 that is 120 volts. The problem may be the wires that go to the socket. To be honest I have done it years ago but not sure I would feel comfortable doing it now.

purely theoretical, but nobody has said anything about sunstar products? I kinda got burned at a similar company with 4 ways and 3 ways and am skeptic about them. Come on Marc do you smell newbie?mdshunk said:Just out of curiosity, what sort of situation are you up against that even gave you this idea to begin with?

Availability issues, like not on the truck. Like I said it was a theoretical situation I was more curious about sunstar products.Dennis Alwon said:Why not replace the socket with a low voltage one and leave the trany.
I don't get too excited about Sunstar stuff. It's certainly cheap. I tried it a couple time and just wasn't feeling it.tonyou812 said:purely theoretical, but nobody has said anything about sunstar products?
