Whats the formula?

As a "coffee roaster", you might be a bit out of your league....Starbucks will help you with the triple latte's formula/recipe :)

Celtic,

Its all formula driven and common sense - an espresso mixed with steamed milk or a load calc on an bunch of electrical circuits. None of it is rocket science.

convienence outlet load

I'm estimating the load for a commercial suit for the owner of the facility. I know how to figure the lighting, motor and equipment loads, but I have 50 duplex recepticals (120v) scattered through out the facility. How do you figure these into the load caculations? I was told that you take 100% of the first 10kva and 50% of any thereafter. What's the starting point, is each receptical considered a 20amp(120v) load, or do I have to figure the number of 20amp circuits used and they are the 20a(120v) load?

Whats the formula?

See 220.14(I) and then proceed to 220.42 or 220.44, which ever is applicable.

Roger

220.14.(I)(K) Figures a receptacle at 180 va per strap (duplex receptacles).

220.44 Receptacle loads - other than dwelling loads. allows a 50% deduct at 10,000va. So 10,000/180 va = 55 receptacles. Receptacle 56 can be figured at 90 va.
