Copper prices ready to fall

The price of copper went up long before that strike started. I think that it even peaked before then.

At the homy depot it was down significantly today, I also noticed 1000 ft rolls of romex, might sound stupid but I have never seen them before.

I copper falls, it will be because of less demand and lower oil prices. Demand seems to be waning somewhat and oil prices are moderating, both good signs for copper price decreasing, but don't hold your breath. I think this is just a pause, it was a heck of a run up and you need some consolidation now.

It seems like the recent spike in copper prices has gotten some people rethinking the use of copper over aluminum.

Just hold back on buying copper, for a few weeks, once the guys at the commodity casino see demand dropping they will scratch each others eyes out, to sell and drive the price down.

I hope it goes down just so the thieves will leave the gutters alone at the local high schools and churches. On the other hand, this is a good lesson to the state employee's at DAGS (dept. of accounting and general services) in my state to quit specifiying copper gutters for schools and other state buildings when something less expensive will suit the taxpayers better anyway. Why must those guys cadillac every last thing they design?

Its a quality of life issue. If people think their local institutions are lined with copper maybe they will rise to the occasion and raise there quality of life having seen evidence of how long copper can last.

Here in Florida, where we have one of the Bush brothers running things, we have trailer parks for public classrooms and advocating vouchers for going to private schools.

What are the expectations of the kids going to school here? I suspect not copper gutters and marble floors. Its more like leaky roofs and bad open ... plumbing, and temporary housing.
