I have a table top that the interior designer wants to install these devices

She wants the cords hidden so the the table will have a center channel to run this to the leg, then run inside the leg down to the floor box duplex.

My interpretation of the NEC 400.12(6) prohibits a cord and plug to be run in a raceway. Is there an exception I am missing?

Table is movable I suppose as it is not fastened to the ground. The "not a raceway" argument is interesting. The AHJ is in Jackson Wyoming and is pretty by the book. I am not sure he would but off on saying "its no listed as a raceway so its not one". But mayyyyybe.

A raceway needs to be properly terminated. I am sure the furniture channel simply ends somewhere shy of the floor, so it dies not meet the NEC raceway definition.
