Where a cord is used to connect a fixture per 410.62(C), can the supply outlet be a short pigtail cord run out of a conduit body?

I'll bite...

I think it would be permissible under 400.7(A)(1) and (2). That being said, I'm a bit shaky on that "yes" only because I think one could make an argument that the short cord out of the conduit body might violate 400.8(1).
