Cord & plug connecting shutter fans.

Can these shutter fans be cord & plug connected? Here is the product in question: http://www.grainger.com/product/DAYTON-Exhaust-Fan-1HLA5?functionCode=P2IDP2PCP They (3 of them) need to be taken down frequently for cleaning & unplugging them is a whole lot easier then disconnecting them for removal, these are in a commercial kitchen so GFCI protection is required.


Since there has been some discussion of the West Coast practice of cord & plug connecting attic hung furnaces thought I would pose the question about those fans.
 
Sure why not, If it's as bad as you say from maintenance why not look into some class rated environment based twist locks.

Because it's a commercial kitchen, Isn't there requirements on make-up air maybe the the owner has other problems, other than venting!
