Any thoughts on wiring a cord to a hard wired smoke detector that could be plugged in? I want to mount a smoke detector that is interconnectable inside of a 3D printer enclosure. The interconnect from the smoke detector would be wired to a relay that would disconnect the power to the printer if a fire was detected. This is not the only smoke detector in the room, but acts as a part of fire mediation solution that is closer to the possible source.
