We've rewound a 100 HP hollow shaft vertical pump motor (460V) every year (sometimes twice) for the last 4 years. The windings look to have failed due to surges. Not to a ground but just blows in the coil. This is on a Corner Grounded Delta system. Is this motor at a disadvantage because of this system? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A corner grounded delta system will not cause L-L voltage problems, however an ungrounded system could.
