Days ago we did an UL FA installation and the first time the Blueprints don?t be approved, due to a wrong size with the ground wire. We used 12 AWG for AC power to feed the FACP, but the ground required, as per AHJ, was 10 AWG. I spent, at least 15 minutes to fit it, the ground wire inside the terminal block, I think that was not for 10 AWG wire designed.

I was working many year with an Electrical Engineer (not in FA), and in all installation, the ground wire size was, the bigger hot wire used. So, if I use 12AWG for AC power, the ground should be 12 AWG???

Around these parts, the AHJ would have to give you the code section in writing. 10 AWG sounds way too large. In fact, you may want to double-check the FACP installation manual. Every panel I've personally run across limits the max wire size to 12 AWG or you risk damaging the terminal block, and it says so in the installation manual.
