I am installing a 15KW Nat gas Guardian generator.
The transfer switch that comes with it is wired with #6 for the hots, and a #8 for the common in a pre-wired bx cable setup that is 30' long.
The problem is that I have to run about 65-70' to the generator.
The generator has a 65A/220v breaker, so is it acceptable to put in a junction box and splice in the additional length using #6? Is 70' too long for running 65A/220v in a conduit?
From what I can tell, the voltage drop should be acceptable:
240V 1phase, ambient temp 25C, 70' long 1 way, and 65A load would be 4.4v drop, with 1.8% right? The conductor temp is 69C, so using 90C rated wire over this length should be ok, right?

I guess I am just looking for someone to double check my numbers here.
