Exposed aluminum deteriorates in a relatively short time once it sits in the water that will find its way into the conduit. Best solution is to pull out the damaged and put in new. Yep, it is gonna cost especially if it is your fault.
Minor scuffs of the insulation may get some Scotchkote.
I have located the fault inside a PVC conduit dug it up and used a splice kit on wire & conduit. This was a 1500 foot run that someone else had screwed up on several years earlier.
