Looking for hardware/ anchor advice from someone who's maybe done these jobs before. Trying to avoid screws and anchors that'll start to corrode immediately. I've read 316 and 304 stainless is a good go to. For pvc pipe hangers will tapcons get nasty? Is 410 stainless not a good choice? Thanks

An AI search for "corrosive resistance of tapcons" indicates that tapcons are made of stainless 410, with an additional Climaseal coating making them very corrosion resistant.

But the tapcon site seems more like only certain ones are the 410 stainless.

We never used Tapcons on boxes over 10 by 10" , Safety switches or starters. If wall was concrete, red brick etc would use a Greenlee lead anchor tool to set lead anchors flush with walls and use stainless steel hex headed bolts with never seize on threads.Went back years later and bolts came out with no problem. Back in the 1970's we had a 80,000 pound storage tank for salt. Salt was mixed with water to keep ampmonia coils from icing up. Salt was so intense that it ate thru 1/2" aluminum rigid conduit. Would use stainless steel bolts to mount boxes but gave the hex heads a thick coating of Silicone caulk and they held up rather good. Would inspect the bolts a few times a year & replace any damaged caulk.

Doesn't take much for salt to eat aluminum. I've had that happen to aluminum rigid just run in the soil under a concrete sidewalk.

Boss man told me use ss or AL for stut, rod, etc. I was thinking ss would hold up better in the chlorine and chemical moist environment
