cost of 6-gang metal box and 6-gang ring

My supplier in florida is quoting me a price for a six gang metal box for 55.65 and the ring for 23.47. Does this price sound right or too high? Thanks Kit

The price sounds about right. :(

We do as Jim suggest and use gangable masonry boxes unless there is some spec making us use the multi-gang boxes and plaster rings.

this will only show you guys are better at ganging than I am, but, over the years I had trouble with ganging that many boxes and not having alignment problems with my plates (the cummulative gap between boxes). I preferrred to use the gang boxes and gang box covers when i went to 5 or 6 devices..

Your right the problem of alignment could be a real problem, sure hope he din't bid the job, before checking prices.

I've got a supplier that just went to a statewide computerized system. They are still getting the kinks out. Its always a surprise when I open up an invoice. I have noticed that the prices are never obscenely ridiculously cheap but bug eyed heart stopping voice squeaking HIGH. I call, they are apologetic, correct the item, and tell me how hard it is for them to get these prices straight.
Makes me realize I need to be faxing parts inquiries to several parts houses and get a feel for the new pricing in town.
Did I mention they seem to be working on some sort of incentive program?
