This is where we bought ours give the guy a call, very friendly, very helpful as a salesman should be.
I charged them and never looked at the bill, needed them, bought them, partner (businessman) yelled something at me and then paid the bill.

Brian that is a great site. Charlie you can also do a google search for more retailers or talk to a few contractors in your area to see who they have purchased from.
If you belong to an contractors organization, maybe you can organize a few contractors together and try for a group discount.

As I understand it from my shop, although this stuff is expensive,cost isn't even the real issue right now. The real problem is getting it. Properly rated arc flash clothing is in such a demand now the manufacturers can't keep up. I have an 11Cal/cm2 flash suit that I am sharing with 2 other jobs. We just can't get our hands on the stuff!

i am not looking for a flash suit. the advertisments i see in the trade magazines shows a normal looking denam long sleeve shirt. we work in south florida and presently wear this same shirt but not safety rated. we do alot infrared scanning and do not subject ourselves to exposure to flash situations- but there is always "that" situation that something can occur by just opening a disconnect switch cover. i am questioning the cost and how "wearable" these shirts are in a warm climate????? i do weigh the cost of everything i buy and i certainly don't want to subject my men to a heat stroke!!

Cotton clothing can be acceptable dependin on the PPE level required. Carhart makes a line of cotton arc flash clothing that I have seen advertised in the trade magazines.
