You need to be careful with countertop recep. Recp. are not allowed to be face up in the counter. Here is a product I use often. There are other industrial looking ones also

the top had rounded edges

Ive got a ton of aluminum ones that I demoed from a Woolworth store (that should tell you how long I've had them) that I'm gonna scrap one of these days. My wife gave me one of these 10 years ago

but apparently it doesn't work.
