I am installing conductors in PVC conduit underground that are between 600 and 1000 volts. They originate from the load side of LED drivers and travel to remote mounted LED fixtures. Table 300.50 deals with cover requirements for conductors over 600 volts. For PVC in column 2 there is a script letter "b". The note for b states "listed by a qualifying testing agency as suitable for direct burial without concrete encasement. All other nonmetallic systems shall require 2" of concrete above conduit". Pvc manufacturers tell me there products are listed for use without concrete encasement but they dont know about a separate listing for over 600 volts. Is this table asking for a separate listing for over 600 volts or the general listing? Am I required to cover the conduit in concrete for this application?
