Crappy gear design

Anyone know if the lugs and bus fingers on this breaker can be reversed? Line side of breaker is attached to bus so POCO would have to be landed on bus leaving bus energized with breaker open or closed.

That appears correct but the contractor is interested in making the 1200 the main.

Land the service conductors on the bus and the 1,200 is the main. Perfectly NEC compliant and leaves the option of adding five more 'mains'.


I really don't know if it can be reversed, likely it can be but that is not a modification I would contemplate in the field without written directions to do so from the gear maker. :)
 
Contractor is going to call gear supplier tomorrow to see if it can be reversed. Also mentioned that the intent was to add a future additional 600A for another MRI. Issue is that would require a POCO shut down to accomplish.
