When installing type nmc cables in crawl spaces (approx. 3' high) can the cables be stapled under the floor joist or must they be drilled through the joist, Also, if the cables are stapled under the joist must they be protected.
You are better off asking your AHJ, as there are many differing opinions about this. You mentioned NMC. I did not know that NMC was commercially available - are you sure this is NMC?
