Hi Experts,

Can a CSA marked C68.10 MV cable be used in USA for Tray Cable installations?
Or does it had to be listed under UL 1072 as well?

Any exceptions?

TECK cable is not one of the wiring methods permitted by the NEC. It would need to be listed as MV-90 or MV-105 and as you said, those would require listing to UL 1072. The CSA standard is not marked as suitable for listing cables to be used in NEC applications.
Since CSA can list to UL standards, if there is no real difference between the CSA and UL listing requirements, you could get the product dual listed.

I always thought TECK cable was a PVC coated MC cable (PVC provides the corrosion-resistant jacket over the metallic covering).

NEC 330.6 Listing Requirements. Type MC cable shall be listed. Fittings used for connecting Type MC cable to boxes, cabinets, or other equipment shall be listed and identified for such use.

So it would have to be listed from an NRTL and CSA is not one. https://www.osha.gov/nationally-recognized-testing-laboratory-program/current-list-of-nrtls

Maybe dual listed between 1072 and 1569, or just 1072. Southwire has a lot of armored MV cables. https://www.southwire.com/wire-cabl...b2c-name-asc:Voltage:15000&text=&pageSize=24#

The listing for MC cable stops at 2000 volts, but the TECK cable is very similar to MC with a jacket. Just not listed to a standard that is acceptable in the US.
