Attached sketch shows CT cabinet tapped . One tap to service disoc #1, second tap to service disco #2 and new third tap to new service disco #3.

Normally I see trough and then meter/CT cabinet to each service disconnect or at least a trough.

Does Nec 2014 allow CT cabinet tap as shown?

Any input from code experts or any input from anyone experienced in post #1 matter is appreciated. Thanks.

No issue. See 230.40 exception 2.

Edit: assuming the disconnects are grouped. There are certain situations where it would be compliant even if not grouped.
I was more concerend about following: Nec 2014 Article 230.33 which refers to NEC 2014 Article 300.13 which says conductors in raceways shall be continous between boxes and so forth. There shall be no splice or tap within raceway unless permitted by 300.15, 368.56(A), 376.56, 378.56, 384.56, 386.56, 388.56 or 390.7.

Box or so forth to me lookes like CT cabinet. Post #1 sketch service conductors are in raceway then they encounter box or so forth i.e CT cabinet which cannot have taps unless permitted by 300.15, 368.56(A), 376.56, 378.56, 384.56, 386.56, 388.56 or 390.7.

Commentary Nec 2014 Handbook Article 300.13(A)commentary says unless raceway are equipped with hinge i.e. trough.

Is their something wrong with way I am interpreting this?

It's fine

The CT cabinet is under the jurisdiction of the POCO, not the AHJ.

"Excuse me, sir. Seeing as how the V.P. is such a V.I.P., shouldn't we keep the P.C. on the Q.T.? 'Cause if it leaks to the V.C. he could end up M.I.A., and then we'd all be put out in K.P."

Dont follow. Are you saying its not AHJ issue and does not fall under NEC bit falls undet POCO? Or are you saying something else?

CT wiring often falls under POCO but even it it falls under NEC you are fine.
Don't get hung up on "so forth"... we would be in trouble if we didn't allow connections in boxes and cabinets, in fact, 300.15v requires it.

Except CT cabinet is not accessible. NEC 2014 Articles 230.33 and 300.13 says service taps or splice need to be accessible. No?

CT cabinets are accessible for those who need access :)
What you have sketched is not uncommon,, trust electrofelon "you're fine" and proceed,

Most installation has service coming into trough and then service conductor tap from trough to meter and service disco. So why would someone provide trough and tap off from trough if you can directly tap off from ct cabinet? Why not just tap off of CT cabinet and save trough equipment? Their is no rule anywhere?
