Hi all
I am doing a job on a kitchen remodel and the home owner wants me to move his metering cabinet etc.
The 800 amp CT Cabinet does not have a disconnect that I am aware of. There are some small switches underneath the actual meter in the meter socket.(Can these be used as disconect?)
I believe it is a Erickson 283-1
I need to move the cabinet roughly 300'. (350 mcm wire)
My question is, and I am pretty sure I will have to do this is. Will I have to buy a new CT cabinet with disconnect to satisfy the code on distance between panels and meter socket. Will I have to bring the grounding electrode conductor out to the new meter location?
I was planning on running 2- 3'' pipes from main disconnect inside the building 300' to the new meter location (the distance now is 12" and still no disconnect outside).
Some help would be appreciated.
Thanks
