The power company is requiring our solar disconnect and meter to be within 5' of their utility meter. The issue is that their meter is on a seperate building and 300' away. We could run #2 THHN in 1 1/2 for our 15 Amp load because we need to stay under 2% voltage drop for PV installs. Instead, I'm looking at using a Leviton CT'ed meter and a relay for the disconnect. My question is can the CT leads and power circuit travel in the same conduit between buildings?

I know It's done all the time when the meter is right next to the service. I just don't know if it changes when your running hundreds of feet in the same conduit. I just want to make sure that the NEC allow this. I read the cutsheets. All it said was the meter could be up to 500' away.

Depending on the type of meter, some manufactures have limits on the lengths, others want twisted pair and limit the length.

And if this is a utility meter I would check with them.
