Why CT secondary are generally 5A? Why not use 1Amp? Just curious!!

People use 1A all the time, depends on what you are doing with it. But if you are driving an analog meter, having the entire range of motion (deflection) of the needle driven off of 1A total span makes for a high degree of inaccuracy.
