CT wiring size

I am wiring up a CT cabinet with 3 meters. Dominion power (our local electric company) is bringing in a 500Kcm service. I would like to connect a 500kcm to the other side of the buss and tap off for the meters in the trough.
I thought that there was a code art. that stated the feed to a meter need not be larger than the feed from the utility company.
Can anyone tell me that code number?

Thanks

There is no code that allows our service conductors to be no larger than POCO conductors; they can do whatever they want we are governed by the NEC.

There is a reference in 300. something that I am not going to look up right now/ that says that feeder conductors don't have to be larger than the conductors ahead of them.
