Job allows substitution of CU conductors with AL forfeeders. A few questions :

ODPL(400A MCB) is feeding OAPL(225A MLO). Don’t theconductors need to be sized to the OCPD FEEDING the load(OAPL)?? 2/0 would besufficient for the 225A OAPL but not the 400A ODPL. Or should my thinking bethe other way around?

So if I would swap these conductors from CU to AL. I couldn’tuse #250 AL as the chart suggests as that doesn’t look like enough whenreferencing 310.16. I think I need #300.

What about the ground size? What do I reference to upsizethat when going from CU to Al?

I know I need to obviously upsize the conduit too.

Thanks.

The largest OCPD is the second graphic is 150 amps so I would assume that the is the feeder size to the MLO (I can't read the graphic when enlarged) is a minimum of #1/0 copper.
