The following whip has been proposed for connecting office cubicles to branch circuits from either a wall or floor outlet. Per a previous thread on this topic, the consensus opinion on how to connect the whip to the wall outlet was to use a box cover with a 1/2" knockout and 90 degree conduit fitting. Seemed like a good solution.
Since there is a plug connection on the cubicle end of the whip, would this be considered a Chapter 3 wiring method as permitted by 605.8 or a cord and plug connection as covered by 605.9?
What article covers this if it's a Chapter 3 wiring method?
If it's a cord and plug connection, is it restricted in length per 605.9(A) or (B)?
