Just in theory how would this apply to derating tables, if you have 6 conductors each with its own neutral. Does each neutral count as current carrying?
A-N
B-N
C-N
A-N
B-N
C-N

Change it to this....

A, B, C, N

A, B, C, N

....and you will likely only have six current carrying conductors.
Bob can you tell me the exact code reference that allows the neutral to not be counted when you have A,B,C,N? Is it 310.15(B)(4)(A) of 2005 code?

Yes....unless 310.15(B)(4)(c) applies to your circuit than no. It depends if you are supplying a lot of non-linear loads or not.

It's interesting that you can use less conductors and possibly smaller conductors (derating issue) when using a shared neutral for this application. This is one of the reasons that we always try to use MWBC's when possible.
