According to this theory trons flow from negative to positive in a DC circuit. I just installed a PV system to supply power to a Ham radio. The positive and negative go to a charge controller. The instructions show to fuse and disconnect the positive side. Why is this the case? It seems backwards to me.

Negative ground..

DC system can be positive or be negative grounded, generally the fuse is put is the ungrounded conductor.

Where's the fuse in your car? Positive

Electrons flow from negative to positive through the load, but "conventional current" is the reverse of that. Don't know why use this, but they do.

Here's an excerpt from a way old textbook:

"Since. . .a knowledge of electric current preceded an understanding of the mechanism of current flow, an early assumption was made that current was a movement of positive charges. This is the basis for the assigned direction of conventional current. . ."

So I guess everyone was locked into this thinking even after it was shown to be wrong.
