I have a question about calculating the current for the 208V breaker. I have a breaker panel with a total Power load of 14K. The main breaker on the panel is 200Amp. I want to make sure the breaker is large enough. I calculated the breaker current using the following current:
I(breaker) = 14k/(208*Sqrt(3)) = 114A
I was thinking about just doing 14K/208 but I don't believe that is correct.
Do you agree with the 114A and can you give a explanation of why the sqrt 3 is used?
