I a looking for a current transformer that comes with a device that would calculate the total kilowatts of electricity that passes through the current transformer. Its for a commercial rent space. The owner of the building wants to know how much electricty each tenet is using. I have seen one before, but I cant find where to buy the whole thing. I have found current transformer with no device to tally the electricity used. 125amps. Single phase.

Instead of a current transformer that comes with meter function and output, I would look instead for a meter that you can get with a current transformer.

If you do not need revenue grade (highest accuracy) there are a number of consumer oriented systems that you can find by Googling for electricity usage monitors.

TED is one of the more common ones.

Note that just a current transformer will not do it. You also need a voltage sensing connection.

I agree with GoldDigger on using a Meter that has a CT and the comments. I use Accuenergy Meters. Their Basic Meter will show three displays. Volts, Amps, and a choice for third. One of the choices is kW. Many options including Computer Network connections etc. Great people to work with.

Their URL is:
