custom fabricated fuse block covers

One can purchase covers up to 100amps....

For class 'R' fuseblocks > 100amps, is it acceptable to custom fabricate a 'finger-safe' cover from a piece of polycarbonate sheet (Lexan or equal)?

We custom fabricate (or have fabricated) such covers on a regular basis. I can't see any reason that it would be prohibited. Such covers are not generally required in the first place.
