Cutler Hammer 2 pole AFCI

Has anyone had any trouble with the brown handle 2-pole (Cutler Hammer)AFCI tripping? When I convert the multi wire to a single wire on a single pole AFCI it won't trip. Any thoughts?

If you have a MWBC that must be AFCI'd, how do you get it to share the neutral betwen two single-pole AFCIs?

It's a two pole cutler hammer brown handle designed for a MWBC.

I guess this is the part I don't understand.

You have a MWBC. Why are you taking it off a 2-pole AFCI and installing SP AFCIs?

I changed the MWBC (which was attached to the two-pole AFCI) to a single branch circuit (tied the two hots of the MWBC together and then installed this circuit to a single pole AFCI and that breaker held. It does not hold on the two pole AFCI.
