Cutler Hammer BR is not my normal flavor. Cust has a bad BR215AF. The replacement for this is a BRL215CAF, correct?

That sounds right but I never use BR style breakers. I think the "C" is for combination AF

Yep. And the old breaker predates the combination AFCI classification.
