Hi all.

Question, would anyone have any advice for cutting pvc (working with 1") in trenches or other applications when they are holding conductors in them.

I have used a pipe cutter or mason string. Wondering if there is some type of something that would work as the mason string technique without the getting stuck, fighting it, and taking forever.

Thank you for suggestions.

I've used a ratchet cutter making multiple cuts around the pipe, being very careful to only cut in 1/8". I've used blower string on empty pipes, but it's too easy to damage the insulation when cutting a pipe with wires installed.

On 1/2 to 1 inch PVC, carefully with a small wheel type tubing cutter or nylon string.
Either one works, for me less effort with small tubing cutter.
There are some specialty tools available, google is a good place to start.
