Hello all, I’ve been lurking for a while and first time posting. I mounted a tv antenna and mast on the fascia board near top of the house. I plan to ground the mast and coax using 10AWG copper. I have (2) questions which I am 50/50 on (due to inexperience)

Question 1) can I use split bolt and attach the 10 awg ground wire from mast and coax ground bar to the (I think it is the ) GEC that comes from the breaker panel (see photos)) . From inside the garage I cut open the wall to see that it is clamped into a rebar sticking up (see photos). I assume that rebar is connected to the ground rod.

Second question : in the photo with the surge coax protector and grounding bar, I’d the orientation of the surge protector , and direction of coax correct?

I guess I have a 3rd question , that is, is the surge protector also called a discharge unit? Thanks 🙏

How do I add photos?

Here are the photos , thanks for allowing the attachment

I'll tackle #1 your ground clamp needs to be listed for #10 AWG to #4 AWG solid if the split bolt is listed for that your good to go.
See 800.100 of the NEC, if you dont have a copy of the NEC invest in one.
FYI There is no ground rod you have a 'ufer' ground which is considered superior.
In the old days of telcom a telco installer used H1 or H2 clamps, they are a bit easier to install on small to large wire than a split bolt.
CATV installers typically use cheap pipe straps and other grounding junk to ground to stuff like meter bases so thanks for asking.
an H2 is typically for connections to #4 AWG
You can usually find them on ebay:
