I am currently working on a covered canopy for RV storage. By definition this would be a damp location (article 100). I'm having trouble figuring out if standard 4 square metal boxes and set screw EMT fittings would be permitted below the roof structure in this location. Article 314.15 references both damp and wet locations, but it doesnt mention the difference between "wet" and "damp" but my situation is certainly not a wet location. Any input would be appreciated.

Welcome to the forum.

Here, they use a 45-degree rainfall as the division.

You can't go wrong using all wet-location fittings.

My preference would be steel compression fittings and bell boxes, this gives a nice clean look, even better if the EMT is painted. And drill a 1/8” hole in the bottom of bell box.
Another option is obviously, which IMO is slower to install than EMT if you heat it for bends and box off sets

Not actually a definitive answer but RACO notes their EMT set-screw connectors are for DRY locations.
