Here is a link to an article I found about Light Polution and effects of LED 'white' (blue) light and some preliminary findings. It is put out by the International Dark-Sky Association. I don't know if it is helpful or not to this profession, but it was a bit enlightening. I haven't read it all yet, I seemed to have kept dozing off for some reason. Anyway I thought I would share.

btw - why don't my copy/paste links come out right? They seem to on other documents.

There are always unintended consequences of emerging technology. One of the most recent is the ASD. Manufacturers of different creeds developed technologies and products to mitigate and even utilize those unintended consequences. I would think that the same will hold true for LEDs. Doping the semiconductors used can change the spectral results. It is already used to develop skin and subderma healing LEDs as well as potenitially replacing grow lights, to the cheering applause of the 'medical' pot growers:D.
