I know it tough to pull cat 6 in flexible conduit but if you had 1/2 height walls like this and you had to get from floor box to data outlets what would you do?
Each one of the data outlets gets 2 cat 6 cable. They are asking for 1-1/4" conduit from each outlet. But that may just be for stubs up...not sure if this scenario would change conduit.

1. Chase from floor box to each of the outlets and run conduit in trench?
2. Run greefield in the walls?
3. Run EMT in the walls?

Are those actually built walls, or just systems furniture? If it is systems furniture, I would expect a furniture feed from the floor box into the systems furniture low voltage wiring channel.

If they are actual walls, I would expect to use EMT but to combine multiple outlets in a single horizontal run and go from box to box for the outlets in the same wall.

Conclusion: Individual EMTs to a floor box at each location from a central point.

Stub-ups are too hard to work around, and fishing through FMC is no fun.

Those "walls" look more like office furniture and not actual walls. It appears the floor box will be the feed point for the furniture system. It also looks like the engineer left out the conduit from the floor box to the nearest wall or column. Cat 6 is a very large cable, and it looks like you would have 12 of them. 1-1/4" C may not be large enough for 12 cat 6 cables. i would send out an RFI (Request for Information) to the engineer to see how they want you to address this issue.

They did show the trenching from the floor box to the column on the electricals.

If it's open walls, does the Cat VI have to be in conduit? Just run it in the walls. If it's pre-built cubicles, if there is not a separate chase for data, you could conceal it with the power conductors but you would have to use a cable with the same voltage rating unless a barrier was supplied. Also, you could use a low profile Wiremold and run it in there. It's going to under all the desks anyway.

My bad. it's systems furniture, So just a connection, at least for the power. I'd assume data cabling still need to be pulled through but no raceway?? I thought you always had to pull the data cable through. it says integrated.
